'Create your own handmade vintage style fascinator with 1950s chic. Use the materials provided and the millinery supplies to craft on a base stretched using vintage techniques. You will be bespoke at this Summer’s occasion with you own professionally finished handmade look.'
What is the class? We will be making in the kitchens at Pickford's House, a beautifully preserved Georgian townhouse a few minutes walk from Derby Museum and the Cathedral Quarter. The class is relaxed, fun and caters for up to 6 crafters.
What will I be making? In the class we will be learning how to create and style a vintage inspired fascinator. We have three styles to choose from. All materials are provided. Taught by textile designer Samantha Schofield, the class is for all levels. We will be providing pretty embellishments including ribbons, buttons to add details.
What level? Any level, no prior stitching knowledge needed. If you are experienced we have stitches and techniques for you too!
Do I need to bring anything? All materials are provided including tea and cake.
Will I finish in the class? We aim to finish in the class but you can take your work home if you wish so you don't rush.
Can I bring children? Yes, the class is suitable for 10+ but accompanied with an adult.
The price of £18 is non refundable but you can pass your ticket to a friend if you cannot make it. Please check you can make the class before booking.
